'Crust & Crown Pizzeria's dream was simple: to share authentic Neapolitan pizza with London. Established by the Smith family in the mid-1980s, our pizzeria began as a small, family-run spot with recipes handed down through generations.
Oliver Smith, our founder, learned the craft of dough and toppings during travels across Italy, studying with master pizzaiolos in Naples—the birthplace of pizza. After returning to the UK, she aimed to recreate the magic of true Italian pizza using time-honored methods and top-quality ingredients.
What started as a modest 12-seat pizzeria has blossomed into a beloved local staple, yet our devotion to quality and authenticity has never wavered. We still use wood-fired techniques, make dough fresh daily, and source the finest ingredients we can find.
Today, 'Crust & Crown Pizzeria' remains family-owned, now led by the second generation of the Smith family. While we’ve adopted some modern touches, the core of our business remains unchanged: crafting delicious, authentic pizza that brings people together.
